A VERY TOUCHING STORY EVER

Above is a two years old boy suffering from Leukemia (Cancer ya damu) with his dad and mum on their wedding day. The little lad was his dad best man.

Little Charlie Harris beside his dad as his best man

Charlie's mum, given away

Leukemia sufferer Charlie Harris-Beard, who was given just weeks to live, stood by dad Joe’s

side as he tied the knot with mum Fiona today.

Brave Charlie brought a tear to the eyes of the 300-strong congregation as he delivered the

rings to his parents in his favourite remote-controlled car.

After the service at St Mary’s Church in Kidderminster, Worcs, the little lad smiled for pictures

with Fiona and Joe, both 30.

Brave Charlie was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia on Easter Sunday last year.

He returned home from hospital in January following a successful bone marrow transplant using

stem cells from an American baby’s umbilical cord.

But last week, his devastated parents revealed on their Facebook page that the cancer had

returned.

MAMBO YA FACEBOOK NA FREEDOM OF SPEECH

SYRIA

Among the dozens of Facebook groups spawned by the Syrian uprising, a page supporting women's rights has suddenly received a wave of attention, because of an image posted there by one of its followers.
The picture was of 21-year-old Dana Bakdounis, without the veil she had grown up wearing - and it polarised opinion.
Looking right into the lens, her short-shorn hair in full view, she held an ID picture of her previously veiled self, along with a note that read:

"The first thing I felt when I took off my veil" and "I'm with the uprising of women in the Arab world because, for 20 years, I wasn't allowed to feel the wind in my hair and [on] my body".
The image proved hugely controversial, attracting over 1,600 likes, nearly 600 shares, and more than 250 comments.
Dana has received much support, and while many of her friends have un-friended her, many more have sent friend requests.

INDIA

An Indian woman who was arrested on Monday over a comment on Facebook has said she was "shocked" by the incident.
Shaheen Dhada was arrested for criticising the shutdown of Mumbai after the death on Saturday of controversial politician Bal Thackeray.
Her friend, Renu Srinivasan, who had "liked" the comment was also arrested. The two were later freed on bail.
Recently, police have arrested a number of people in cases which campaigners call a breach of freedom of speech.

MORE UPDATE ON EBOLA VIRUS

Canadian scientists have shown that the deadliest form of the ebola virus could be transmitted by air between species.
In experiments, they demonstrated that the virus was transmitted from pigs to monkeys without any direct contact between them.
The researchers say they believe that limited airborne transmission might be contributing to the spread of the disease in some parts of Africa.
They are concerned that pigs might be a natural host for the lethal infection.
Details of the research were published in the journal Scientific Reports.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the infection gets into humans through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs and other bodily fluids from a number of species including chimpanzees, gorillas and forest antelope
What we suspect is happening is large droplets - they can stay in the air, but not long, they don't go far. But they can be absorbed in the airway”

FASHION INAPOVUKA MIPAKA

VICTORIA’S Secret has apologies for using a Native American headdress at its

annual fashion show after tribal rights campaigners blasted the outfit.

Stunning Karlie Kloss strutted down the catwalk last week donning the floor-length feathered

headdress, along with leopard-print underwear and high heels.

But Native Americans poured scorn on the fashion firm’s "upsetting" use of the accessory,

which is traditionally reserved for war chiefs and warriors.

Navajo Nation spokesman Erny Zah yesterday said: “We have gone through the atrocities to

survive and ensure our way of life continues.

“Any mockery, whether it’s Halloween, Victoria’s Secret – they are spitting on us. They are

spitting on our culture, and it’s upsetting.”

Historically, each feather placed on a headdress has spiritual significance and would have to

be earned through an act of compassion or bravery.

BAD DAY FOR SUPER DONORS

Money can't buy happiness, nor can it buy an election, apparently.

Sheldon Adelson - Casino Billionaire supporter of Mitt Romney

The top donors to super PACs in 2012 did not fare well — casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, the No. 1 super PAC contributor with more than $53 million in giving, backed eight losers at this writing.
Adelson was top backer of the pro-Mitt Romney Restore Our Future super PAC, with $20 million in donations. Romney lost to President Barack Obama. In addition, Adelson's contributions to super PACs backing U.S. Senate candidates in Florida, Virginia and New Jersey were also for naught.
He was not the only conservative billionaire who had a bad night.
Contran Corp. CEO Harold Simmons, (No. 2), homebuilder Bob Perry (No. 3) and TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts, (No.4), also bet on Romney. Collectively, the trio gave $13.4 million to Restore Our Future, and Ricketts’ super PAC, Ending Spending Action Fund, spent an additional $9.9 million helping Romney’s failed bid.
The super donor winner of the night was Newsweb Corp. CEO Fred Eychaner (No. 5). Eychaner gave $3.5 million to pro-Obama super PACPriorities USA Action through the most recent filing period, which ended in Oct. 17, according to Federal Election Commission records.

USHABIKI WA MPIRA NI NOUMER!!

The German giants, one of the Bundesliga’s most historic clubs with a huge and passionate

fan base, will open their own official supporters’ graveyard next month.Called the Schalke Fan

Field.

It is situated in an especially-allocated part of a cemetery due to be completed this

month, just 500 yards from the Veltins Arena where Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal play a crunch

match tomorrow.

Schalke’s site will have the space for 1904 graves of life-long supporters — to commemorate

the year the club was founded.

Each tomb will cost around £1,000 to reserve and £100 for annual upkeep.

The full cost to keep a grave for 25 years is quoted at around £4,200. That includes a “line or

urn” grave in the Schalke Fans Square although funeral costs are on top.

KULIPUANA HIVI MPAKA LINI?

A grenade attack on a church in a police compound in eastern Kenya has killed one police officer and injured at least 11 other people, reports say.
The man who died was serving as pastor of the targeted church, in Garissa town near the border with Somalia.
Most of the wounded are also reported to be police officers; some of whom were airlifted to hospital in Nairobi.
In July, 15 people were killed in raids on churches in Garissa, and suspicion fell on the al-Shabab militant group.
Police blamed the Somalia-based group and its sympathizers for the attack, and said they were angry over Kenya's role in a UN-backed intervention force.
Kenya's capital Nairobi and the port city of Mombasa have suffered a series of grenade attacks since Kenya sent troops into Somalia last October.
