COURT REMANDS FATHER FOR HAVING SEX WITH HIS DAUGHTER
Tarkwa, June 13, GNA- A 54- year-old farmer, Kwasi Kumi has been remanded into prison custody by a Tarkwa Circuit Court for having sex with his 14 year-old daughter at Bissaso near Samrebio in the Western Region.
He pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on June 27.
Prosecuting Police Detective Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah told the court presided over by Mr Samuel Obeng Diawuo that the victim lives with her parents at Bissaso.
He said during May, the victim and her parents together with her young siblings travelled to Tepa for a funeral.
He said after the funeral the victim, her father together with her siblings took the lead to Bissaso leaving the mother behind.
According to the Prosecutor, about two weeks ago the accused entered his room and called the daughter to pick money.

When she entered the room she grabbed her and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her at the time the siblings were playing outside, after which he told her not to tell anyone about the incident.
Detective Amponsah said on June 9, the victim started bleeding from the vagina and when she was questioned she narrated her ordeal to her mother.
He said the victim was sent to the Samartex hospital for treatment was admitted and discharged later.
The Prosecutor said a report was made to the police and the accused was arrested and charged with the offense.
