The prankster posted a photo on Twitter of him holding a gun to the yorkie-mix puppy's head
after she "pooped" in his bed.
Bam told his 800,000 followers: "Penny pooped in my bed. Not too fond of that. If it happens
again, Penny goes Bye Byes!"
The tweet provoked outrage among Bam's creature-loving fans and drew criticism from animal
rights groups worried he would carry out his threat.
Rich Britton, spokesman for The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Chester
County, Philadelphia, was not impressed: "It's not funny. He has missed the mark on this one."
The red-faced star was forced to invite news crews into his Pennsylvania home so he could
apologies and show the world he's not cruel to his pets.
